Mark David Major, AICP
President

Mark David Major, planner and urban designer, has over 16 years of experience in planning and real estate development. He is the President of MAJOR Planning LLC.

Previously, Mark worked for Fortune 500 national homebuilder Pulte Homes/Del Webb in Jacksonville, where he managed the due diligence, planning and entitlements of several projects. Before this, he was the Senior Planner for Nassau County, FL where he drafted the Unified Land Development Code and the Interlocal Agreement on Public Schools Facilities Planning (recognized as a state standard by the Florida Department of Community Affairs) with the Nassau County School Board. Mark is a former Director of Space Syntax Ltd., an urban design/planning consulting firm in London, England where he served as a planning consultant to Stanhope LLC, Foster & Partners, Richard Rogers Partnership, Zaha M. Hadid Architects, Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners, Terry Farrell & Partners, British Government and London Metropolitan Police, and HOK International among others.

Mark was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. He is a graduate of the University of London and Clemson Univeristy. He is a member of the American Planning Association, Urban Land Institute, Congress for New Urbanism, 1000 Friends of Florida, Riverside Avondale Preservation, and the National Trust.
